The campaign

Security review is a gate in almost every enterprise UCaaS deal. This white paper gave CISOs a single document that explained how RingCentral handles information security, data privacy, and compliance, and gave sales a credible asset to share during evaluation. I delivered it while running three other high-priority projects for different campaigns, including the What Is RingCentral? interactive page.

Why it mattered

CISOs distrust marketing. Product pages and certification logos weren’t enough; they wanted to know what controls exist and who verifies them. With GDPR fines climbing past $1B a year, data privacy had also moved up the list.

How it was built

  1. Research

RingCentral’s Director of Security drafted the outline while I finished another launch, which kept the technical foundation accurate. I framed the stakes with GDPR fine totals, IBM breach cost data, and FBI figures on vishing and smishing, and worked from RingCentral’s Trust Center for the controls.

  2. Concept

An “essential security formula” with three pillars: information security protection, data privacy and compliance management, and administrative policy controls. Every RingCentral control maps back to one of them.

  3. Writing

I turned dense security documentation into plain descriptions of each control area, from physical and network security to toll fraud prevention, and closed with a spotlight on dynamic end-to-end encryption built on the MLS standard. A layered roadmap with fixed review dates and bi-weekly stakeholder meetings kept it on schedule alongside my other projects.

  4. Design

A full table of contents for reviewers who jump to their section, certification badges in one place, and control inventories broken out by video, phone, and messaging.

Results

More than 300 MQLs, $5M in influenced pipeline, and $3M in ARR. The lowest lead volume of the RingCentral assets here, but the highest pipeline per lead: a narrow piece that reached buyers closer to a decision.
